Goldstone

Sparkling goldstone is a man made glass with small copper crystals in the melt within a golden brown base color. The copper crystals give goldstone a glittering look when viewed in sunlight or incandescent light.

Goldstone was first discovered by mistake in Italy several centuries ago. It’s Italian name is “aventura” glass which refers to it being an accidental creation.The gemological affect of glimmering metallic particles in a stone is now called aventuresence and the aventurine quartz stone was also named after it.
