Ocean jasper is a form of chalcedony that often has a mix of green, yellow and red with unique spotted patterns. Its spots also are the reason it is given the trade name orbicular jasper.
It is called ocean jasper because of the location at the oceans edge where it is found in Madagascar. Sometimes ocean jasper will have druzy crystals in pockets within the stone.
Ocean jasper jewelry is available as pendants, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, animal carvings, eggs, hearts, other cut shapes and mineral specimens.
